The Fortnite Weekly News presents you the updates that you will meet during the Week 6 of this very good season 5 Chapter 2 of Fortnite. Discover everything you need to know to progress.
Fortnite Superhero skins : Pay to Win ?
Fortnite players have discovered a major flaw with the superheroes' customizable skins and are asking that they be upgraded or removed entirely from the game.
Epic Games' popular royal battle has always offered some of the best downloadable skins in a game, with recent additions like Michonne and Daryl from The Walking Dead and of course The Mandalorian.
Skins that give a big advantage over other players?
These skins, along with various other cosmetic products such as picks and gliders, have always been included on the basis that they "give no competitive advantage" in Fortnite, meaning they are purely visual additions.
But the customizable superhero skin that was introduced in season 4 has been called "pay-to-win" by fans, because the ability to make the skin entirely black means that players can gain an advantage by staying hidden in the shadows.
In a thread titled "Do you guys think the black superhero skins need a nerf?" on Reddit, the user Pricytoaster highlighted the issue in question with a simple screenshot.
The image was taken during a game where an opponent wearing the all-black superhero skin was hiding in a corner of a house. Because of the shadows, he could not be seen, which gave him the perfect opportunity to sneakily shoot down other players.
This image from Reddit shows the problem with Fortnite's superhero skin.
The dissatisfaction of many players
The thread has prompted hundreds of complaints from Fortnite players who have experienced the same problem and many have asked Epic to intervene to keep the game fair for everyone.
"This is patently unfair," wrote one frustrated player. Another added, "Take it back immediately! The fact that superheroes' skins are all white or black spoils the fun because of their potential for camouflage.
The problem is especially prevalent for those who play Fortnite on a console, as they don't have the ability to disable shadows in their graphics settings. All-white skins have also been a problem in snowy areas.
We assume that Epic will address this issue at some point, especially if players continue to talk about it. Some have suggested that a different color contour could be applied to the skins.
"They should just give it a white outline or something simple like that," wrote one Fortnite player, to which another replied, "That would be pretty cool actually. I honestly think it would make the skin look better.
Some fans have had a more cynical view of why the skin hasn't been changed yet: "I think the main reason Epic doesn't have the skin is because this black style makes them a lot of money. »
Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 : All Challenges
Here's how to complete the quests in week 6 of the game, with the handy location details you'll need along the way.
Fortnite fans, both casual and hardcore, will know the importance of challenges and quests. Not only do they give you a sense of accomplishment in the game, but they also unlock XP and sometimes rare cosmetics or wraps.
If you're looking to move to the next level of Battle Pass, completing the weekly challenges is one of the fastest ways to get there.
Week 6 of season 5 brings a new set of quests that players must complete, and while some of them are everyday tasks that you will probably accomplish without even thinking about it, others will require a little more dedication.
Unlike last week's gnome inspired challenges, this week's focus is on fishing, with players having to catch fish, make fish jump and destroy various fishery-related objects. We hope you enjoy fishing!
Fishing will be at the center of the challenges this week!
List of challenges that players must complete:
There are a total of seven regular challenges and one legendary challenge to complete this week, which you can see in the list below:
- Blow up Fishing Holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond (3)
- Destroy Motorboats (3)
- Blow up Fishing Holes at Lazy Lake island, Lake Canoe, and near Steamy Stacks (3)
- Catch Fish (7)
- Signal the Coral Buddies (1)
- Destroy Boats (7)
- Destroy Fishing Rod Barrels (7)
Let's start with the easy ones: catch fish, destroy the barrels of fishing rods and destroy the boats. You should be able to meet all three challenges in the same area. Just visit large bodies of water, such as the island just north of Misty Meadows.
To blow up fishing holes, you will have to visit six different locations: Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, Flopper Pond, Lazy Lake Island, Lake Canoe and Steamy Stacks. Throw grenades into the randomly created fishing holes or use the missile function on a motor boat.
Coral Buddies will be making a return this week, although we're not sure what "report" means at this time. Players could take a trip to the lighthouse, perhaps?
Finally, the legendary challenge will prove difficult for those who don't have a steady hand, you'll have to get a total of 100 shots to the head. However, there are XP rewards for 20 head shots completed, so even if you don't finish it completely, you'll still get something along the way.

Fortnite Season 5 Week 6: Where to find Bigfoot?
Bigfoot is by far the most elusive character in season 5 of Fortnite. However, that doesn't mean he's untraceable. Here are a few key tips to keep in mind when trying to track down this rare NPC.
There are a ton of NPCs scattered throughout Fortnite. Some are just there for a comic effect while others are actually having a real impact.
Many will help you heal while others will provide you with an assortment of resources. Each character has its own function thanks to the new Gold Bars currency system in Season 5.
If you try to meet all the characters on the map, however, there is none more elusive than Bigfoot. This extremely rare NPC has had players stalking him for weeks. But here's how you can find him effectively in your next session.
Steps to do to find BigFoot
The next thing to keep in mind is that Bigfoot wanders. He won't stay in his place of appearance for long, which means that you will only be able to see him on his travels. There is, however, a strategy to help determine his specific location on the map.
You will first want to find Bunker Jonesy, an NPC who can appear at both Camp Cod and Shipwreck Cove. If he is not at the first, go to the second POI (Point of Interest) and check. Once contact is made, it will cost you 100 gold bars to get information about Bigfoot.
What's the point of finding Bigfoot?
Fortnite Shop January 8: Mogul Masters
Epic Games has updated Fortnite's store. Here are all the skins and other cosmetic items you can buy this Friday, January 8th. Here's to your V-bucks!
As is usually the case, the store on Fortnite was updated at around one o'clock in the morning with a new set of various cosmetic items, which also included new skins.
The Item Shop normally contains two categories of cosmetic items. The "Featured Items" section, which ranges from two to five items, normally resets every two days, while the "Items of the Day" section usually contains six items and is updated daily.
Rarities for items in the Item Shop can range from Atypical, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, and are therefore typically between 200 and 2,000 V-Bucks. While most skins have appeared in the Item Shop at one time or another, some may appear for the very first time.
