Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5: A highly successful season and much appreciated by the players
The date marking the end of season 5 in chapter 2 of Fortnite is, it seems, already known, since it is more or less posted directly in the game.
Available since Wednesday, December 2nd after a nice fight between Galactus and the superheroes, the launch of Fortnite Season 5 Chapter 2 has added many new things, including the highlighting of bounty hunters, to continue the little story of the royal battle, which rather delighted the community, although, as always, some players expected more from Epic Games. Of course, among these new things was a Battle Pass with exclusive and never-before-seen rewards, including a The Mandalorian skin, in addition to all the others. However, this Battle Pass also seems to indicate the end date of season 5.
Will Season 5 of Fortnite Chapter 2 be extended?
Indeed, when players purchase the Battle Pass, a message referring to the refund policy indicates that the current season will end on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, 104 days after its launch, which more or less coincides with Epic Games' habits, except for the last few seasons that have been extended several times.
This means that players will have approximately 14 weeks to complete the full set of challenges. However, we are not immune to a postponement, as was the case in seasons 1 and 2. Seasons 1 and 2 lasted 128 and 118 days respectively, compared to about 70-80 days in Chapter 1.
However, this does not mean that Season 6 will be launched in a hurry, since the seasons usually start on Wednesdays or Thursdays. For example, between season 4 and 5, the servers were closed for a few hours at night. This is obviously nothing compared to the switch between chapter 1 and 2, which had deprived Fortnite's players of several dozen hours...
Currently, we can estimate the launch of season 6 of Fortnite's chapter 2 for Wednesday, March 17, although for the moment, nothing is certain.
